In response to that, she decided to sassily rip up his State of the Union speech much to the either enjoyment or anger of the internet.

Her gesture followed no less than an hour and a half of the current president refusing to give the Democrats any credit for the legislatures that have been passed the whole of last year.

Not only that but, as mentioned before, he also started the night at the Capitol Building by refusing to shake Pelosi’s hand and that moment made it clear that it was going to be a very tense meeting.

Now, the video of her rising up from her seat as Trump thanks the joint sessions of the Congress, and ripping up her copy of his speech with a poker face has become viral and it’s just bound to give birth to countless memes.

Pelosi rips the papers in half in one swift movement and simply sets them down on her desk just as the camera pans away.

One insider cleared things up via CNN, saying that it was not meant to be a statement and she did not plan it in advance.

She was really just that angry at that moment and that was the only way she could think of how to show her disdain.

As Pelosi was heading out of the House, she told reporters when asked what she thought of the speech: ‘I tore it up. Because it was a courteous thing to do considering the alternative. It was such a dirty speech.’
