Nestor Cortes is a Cuban-American professional baseball pitcher who plays for the New York Yankees in Major League Baseball. Nestor Cortes was selected by the New York Yankees in the 36th round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft.

Nestor Cortes made his debut in 2013 with the Gold Coast Yankees of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League. Prior to joining the New York Yankees, Nestor Cortes played for the Baltimore Orioles and Seatle Mariners.

Nestor Cortes was born in Surgidero de Batabanó, Cuba, and his family moved to the United States after his father won a visa lottery. Nestor Cortes enrolled at Hialeah High School and proceeded to play college baseball at Florida International University.
