NC Durham March 5, 2023— This week, Nicole Bullock’s family and supporters have been grieving her passing. Nicole leaves behind five sons and endured a lot of hardships due to abuse and assault.

Durham police responded to a call about a heart attack shortly after 8 a.m. on Residence Inn Boulevard close to Apex Highway. Officers arrived and discovered Bullock dead on a bed; following a preliminary inquiry, they detained Rodney Crawford, charged him with murder, and obtained a search warrant.

According to the search records, Bullock called Crawford, the 911 caller, to come over to the hotel, and “that after he got there, they began arguing over a cellphone, and then a ‘tussle’ started,” according to the search documents.

Crawford “indicated that he did not intend for this to happen,” despite having previously been charged with domestic violence against the same victim.

Bullock allegedly had a restraining order in place for Crawford to keep away from her and her children, according to Bullock’s sister Lakisha Polite.

Bullock’s front and back windows in her house were broken out by Crawford, according to Polite, in violation of the protection order.
