John Peck Bridgeton, Missouri is home to Dr. Kristin Marie Wheeler, an ob-gyn with board certification. Both SSM Health DePaul Hospital and SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital are part of the SSM Health network in St. Louis. Your medical practice is open to new patients.
My family and I settled in the avocado and orange groves of Southern California, and I later attended UCLA to earn a bachelor’s degree in biology. My brief yet formative experience as a volunteer at UCLA Hospital sparked my interest in medicine. I spent a lot of time in Central and South America when I was young, and it sparked an interest in me to study the languages and customs of the various populations in Los Angeles. After graduating from medical school in the Bay Area, I moved north to Portland, Oregon, to attend Oregon Health & Science University and specialize in family medicine. My 20 years of experience with the Multnomah County Health Department have allowed me to assist a wide range of communities around Oregon. My decision to work for Kaiser Permanente in 2020 was motivated by the organization’s commitment to provide high-quality, cost-effective medical care to its members and to enhancing the health of our communities via preventative measures and early detection and intervention.
In my practice, I treat individuals of any age, nationality, or language ability. I tend to the needs of the young and old alike. Prenatal care and the overall health of women are areas that fascinate me. My work focuses heavily on prevention and continuous treatment for patients with chronic conditions like diabetes, asthma, and cardiovascular disease. Nexplanon and spiral management is a blast for me. Providing compassionate, nonjudgmental care that focuses on practical solutions to medical issues is a top concern for me.
