It has been determined which small child was hurt in the fatal sledding accident in Pella.

According to Pella police, Milly Rose Zellmer, 5, was murdered when a truck plowed into her sled and hit it.

On Thursday, the tragic event took place at the intersection of West Fourth Street and Fountain View Drive.

Police say she slipped under a Ford pickup driven by a man who lives in the same area while she was sledding down a slope on Pella’s north side.

Zellmer was taken to the hospital by a witness, where she was later declared dead. In this case, no charges have been brought.

The Third Church in Pella will be open for visits on Friday from 3-6 p.m. for Milly Rose Zellmer.

The same church will host her memorial service at 10:30 on Saturday.
