Francesca Ward and Olivia Moore, who were visiting Temple from the UK at the time the collision occurred in upstate New York, a geographic region made up of the area of New York State that lies north and northwest of the New York City metropolitan area, were identified by authorities today, Saturday, April 29, 2023.

Francesca Ward and Olivia Moore, the two students killed in the collision, were visiting Temple from the UK when it happened in upstate New York.
In a letter to Francesa and Olivia’s families, friends, coworkers, and students, interim university president JoAnne Epps expressed the university’s sincere condolences. “We are confident that, as a community, we will stand by those who have been affected by their loss during this trying time.”
To protect their privacy, Temple is not disclosing the names of the students who survived the incident. The institution advises students to get support through Tuttleman Counseling Services.
