Gulati opened up about her wellness routine to Women Fitness. She says that she doesn't deprive herself when it comes to food. "I do not follow any strict diets, but I do try to eat clean at times. And oh, I'm all about cheat meals! Chaat is my favourite! Fries, fried momos, burgers & pizzas. If I had the chance, I'd eat all of this everyday of the week!"
Gulati makes sure to workout on a regular basis. She tells Women Fitness, "I work out 5 times a week. I really don't have a choice but to work out regularly since I eat almost everything under the sun, even though I'm vegetarian. My favorite target areas are my shoulders and glutes."
One of Gulati's secrets to staying healthy is making wellness a priority. She tells Women Fitness, "It is supremely important that we take care of our bodies. This is what 2020 has taught me and it's all that we have, nothing else really matters. Being active & focusing on our physical and mental fitness are the things that can really help us in the long run!"
Gulati makes sure to workout her lower body. One exercise she likes to do are donkey kicks. She shared this video on Instagram of herself doing them while her cat walked near her. She captioned the video, "Working on my meowscles." Donkey kicks, also known as glute bridges, are a type of exercise that targets the muscles in your buttocks, specifically the gluteus maximus. To do a donkey kick, start by lying on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground. Lift your hips off the ground and squeeze your glutes as you extend one leg straight out behind you. Lower your hips back down and repeat with the other leg. Donkey kicks can be done with or without weights, and can be incorporated into a variety of workouts to strengthen and tone your glutes.
Gulati likes to do pilates to stay in shape. She shared this video on Instagram of herself using a reformer. In it, Gulati is seen doing hamstring bridges, squat lunges, and leg extensions. She captioned the video, "Leg day." "Without question, squats are the gold standard when it comes to lower-body exercises—and for good reason.
