Dwayne Waden (age 57, born in October 1966) is a North Carolina church pastor, who has dedicated numerous years to his pastoral role. Recently, however, Waden found himself in legal trouble following an alleged assault on a McDonald’s employee.

Reports suggest that the incident arose from a dispute involving Waden’s wife and another man. Waden is accused of trying to push the man into a deep fat fryer, leading to his arrest on charges of assault and battery.

Law enforcement authorities were able to review surveillance footage capturing the altercation, providing evidence for Waden’s arrest.

Following the arrest, Waden was taken to the police headquarters and subsequently posted a $1,000 bond. His court appearance is scheduled for January 22.

Why did Dwayne Assault McDonald’s Employee?

On December 28, an unsettling incident unfolded at the S. Main Street McDonald’s, documented in the High Point Police Department report. The incident centered around Tammy Waden, in the midst of managerial training, who reportedly faced disrespect from her coworkers. Seeking assistance, Tammy reached out to her husband, Dwayne.

Witnesses reported that upon Dwayne’s arrival at the McDonald’s, he entered the premises and approached the victim behind the counter. Allegedly, he put his hands around the victim’s neck. The situation escalated further, with Waden purportedly pushing the victim’s head towards a deep fryer and delivering multiple punches to the face, according to statements from the police.

The assault continued until other employees intervened to separate Waden from the victim. The victim sustained notable injuries, including a significant contusion to the forehead and right eye, along with scratches on the neck.

Although emergency services were called to the scene, the victim opted to be taken to the hospital by family. Subsequently, after a review of surveillance footage, the police arrested Waden on charges of assault and battery related to the incident.
