The victim of a vehicle accident in Iredell County on Monday night has been identified as Patrick Calhoun Mays of Davidson, North Carolina.

Mays, 66, was killed in a Mooresville two-vehicle collision with a semi-tractor driven by Oleg Polishchuk of Harrisonburg, Virginia, while his wife Rebecca and a passenger, 15 years old, were injured.

Around 6 p.m. on Monday, Polishchuk, 52, was driving a semi-tractor on Interstate 77 near the Langtree Road exit in Mooresville when it collided with a Ford Focus that was stuck in heavy traffic.

The crash site coroner declared Patrick Mays deceased.

The youngster and Rebecca, 56, were taken to a nearby hospital in an unclear condition.
