It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Quentin Beatty, a cherished alumnus of North Allegheny Senior High School. Quentin Beatty departed this world on Friday, November 10, 2023, leaving behind a profound void and a multitude of heavy hearts among all who had the privilege of knowing him during his lifetime.
Quentin Beatty and I first crossed paths in Miss Lipert’s math class. During that fateful day, he walked past me and mischievously placed gum in my hair. In a surprising turn of events, I responded by playfully retaliating, placing an even larger wad of gum in his hair. At that moment, we were faced with a choice: to become adversaries or to become friends. We wisely chose the latter. Following that day, Quentin became one of the most cherished and enduring friendships I have ever had.
I fondly recollect an adventure from our early teenage years when we decided to skip school together for the first time. We found ourselves unsure of what to do and spontaneously hopped on a bus to visit the zoo. We raised a bit of havoc during our escapade, encountering police chases and a few other escapades I won’t be sharing on social media. The memories of those times are etched in my heart, and I can hardly express how deeply I will miss my dear friend.
Quentin Beatty completed his secondary education at North Allegheny Senior High School. He was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and it remained his home throughout his life.
