Recchia opened up about her break-up with her fiance from her season to HollywoodLife. She says that she is working on moving forward. "I think, right now, I'm ready to have that next step in my life," she admitted. "I definitely am glad that I've had time to really reflect and really heal and look back at some mistakes I might've made and to be able to learn and grow from there. I truly believe in love and when it comes it'll come. I'm definitely open to it, but healing at the same time."
Recchia was subjected to a lot of criticism during her stint on television. However, she's taking it all in stride. "I definitely just have made so many mistakes this season, and people do have the right to watch this and say what they're thinking," Recchia tells The Hollywood Reporter. "Of course, there are so many comments that just should never leave people's minds, but it does come with the territory. Ultimately, I think I have gained clarity into myself."
Recchia is a supportive person. When her best friend, and co-Bachelorette lead, Gabby Windey, was going through a break-up, Recchia made sure to be there for her. "As much as we can talk and exchange texts we do, and I go and support her in person really any chance I can get," she shared on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. "Whatever support and whatever she needs right now, I'm going to try to give to her, just because we all know how difficult it is, especially in the public eye."
Recchia recently moved to sunny California. And she is taking advantage of the state's gorgeous beaches. She posts a lot of photos on Instagram of herself at the beach. She shared this photo of herself lounging by the water. Recchia captioned it, "One more for the road." She also posted this photo of herself on a trip to Siesta Key.
One thing Recchia likes to do is go kayaking. She shared this set of photos of herself kayaking with her family in Florida on Instagram. She captioned it, "So happy to get the opportunity to share the people and place I love with all of you. Also, fun fact, I was born and raised in Chicago and only moved to Florida when I was a teenager."
