Born and raised in New York City, he became interested in acting when he was a teenager. His father abandoned him and his mother when he was 13 years old, following which his mother remarried. After his high-school graduation, Reginald enrolled at ‘New York University’ and earned an MFA degree. He made his acting debut in 1981, with a small role in the film titled ‘Wolfen.’ He then appeared in supporting roles in films such as ‘Crocodile Dundee’ and ‘Plain Clothes.’ He earned widespread popularity playing the role of ‘Sgt. Al Powell’ in two ‘Die Hard’ movies.
