Sophia Carter On September 7, 1993, Ryan Smith, a cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League, was born. He was chosen by the Buccaneers in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He played collegiate football for the North Carolina Central Eagles.
On July 10, 2019, Smith was penalized for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs by being suspended for the first four games of the upcoming season. He was released from his ban on September 30 and made his debut before Week 5.
On March 30, 2020, the Buccaneers renewed Smith’s contract. During the Buccaneers’ run to the Super Bowl LV title, Smith took part in each of the team’s four playoff games.
