Darius Shaquille Leonard is one of the linebackers for the National Football League’s Indianapolis Colts. He was born on July 27, 1995, and is now 27 years old. The Colts selected him in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft after he played college football for South Carolina State.

In his first season, Leonard led the league in tackles and was selected to the First Team All-Pro and Defensive Rookie of the Year. The following offseason, he was chosen for the NFL Top 100. Due to his enthusiastic and effective on-field performance, Leonard has earned the nickname “Maniac” informally.

Leonard attended Lake View High School in Lake View, South Carolina, where he participated in high school football. Leonard led SCSU in tackles as a redshirt freshman in 2014, amassing 86, 14 for loss, five sacks, and two forced fumbles.
