Participant on Love IslandShaughna Phillips was one of 10 original inhabitants of the Love Island house in 2020. Set in Cape Town, the winter edition of the show had Irish presenter Laura Whitmore as the host for the first time in the show’s history.
On the first day of week one, she paired up with Callum Jones from Manchester. Fellow contestant Eve Gale, from Cambridge, took Jones away from Phillips the very next day. However, their pairing did not last long. Gale was dumped on day six, and Jones started dating Phillips again.
Shaughna had gone on a date with the new housemate Connagh Howard from Cardiff before recoupling with Jones. They decided to stay together on week two as well.

On day 24, Shaughna Phillips, along with other residents of the main villa, registered a victory in the ‘Raunchy Races’ challenge. However, on day 26, she was dumped by Jones so he could start dating Molly Smith, who had joined the show on day 23 and is also from Manchester.
In the week five of the show, Shaughna Phillips had a date with new islander Jamie Clayton from Edinburgh and competed in the ‘Rumpy Pumpy’ challenge as part of the Blue team, ultimately winning it. But she was dumped from the show on day 33 for failing to couple up with a male participant.
Her departure from Love Island and perceived betrayal by Jones became a popular topic of conversation on social media in the following weeks. The fiery and beautiful Londoner had become a fan favourite due to her open and earnest personality during her stay at the villa.
