Patterson began his career as a journalist in August 2007, working for WLNS, in Lansing, Michigan Area. He worked here as a Newsroom assistant and Editor for eleven months and moved to WZZM-13, Michigan Area where he worked as a reporter from Sept 2008 to November 2013. From here, he went on to work for Gannett, a Talent Development Program Graduate for five years and six months.
