Stewart Finlay-McLennan (born September 7, 1957) is an Australian-born classically trained actor who was raised in the United Kingdom. Stewart McLennan and Stuart McLennan are the names by which he is credited as an actor in films and television shows. His nick name is SFM (Short for SFM). Finlay-McLennan was born and raised in the Australian town of Broken Hill, in the state of New South Wales. Mitchell College in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia, awarded him a bachelor’s degree in education. He majored in both art and drama at the university level. During an episode of Jake and the Fatman in 1989, Finlay-McLennan made his professional television debut. Christy, a CBS television series, featured him in the role of “Dr. Neil MacNeill” from 1994 to 1995. National Treasure, in which he starred as Powell, was his first cinematic role. His most recent appearance is as Brogan Kai in the film The Last Sin Eater. “Down an Alley Filled with Cats,” a television advertisement for Outback Steakhouse (2000), shot at a New York City theatre (November 1986 to April 1987). Finlay-McLennan has announced his retirement from acting.
