A 'University of Southern California School of Theatre' alumnus, he had harbored a passion for the craft when he was just 6. By his teenage years, Thyne had several advertisement projects and lead roles in plays. He has had over 50 guest and recurring roles on television shows, several substantial parts in films, and a number of commercial appearances. To support the upcoming artists and filmmakers, Thyne founded a production house that has produced many award-winning shorts. He has also written and directed a few of them.
