According to an insider report, Teresa Giudice is really trying to distance herself emotionally from her husband Joe as he risks being deported to his native Italy. In the meantime, the man would apparently be heartbroken if his appeal wasn’t approved and she really went through with the divorce.

Since being released from prison earlier this month, Joe has been fighting to remain in America alongside his wife, Teresa and their four daughters.

But while his fate is uncertain at this point, one source tells HollywoodLife that Teresa has been trying to ‘detach’ herself in the eventuality that she will have to build a brand new life without Joe by her side.

‘Teresa is really looking forward to the next chapter in her life. Teresa knows Joe still has a fight ahead of him while he’s working on his appeal, but she needs to do what’s best for her right now. That includes focusing on being there for her daughters, on her career, and working out.’

Supposedly, working out has been taking her mind off things a lot so she hits the gym a lot these days as a ‘distraction’ from all of the ‘drama.’

The insider added that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star ‘has not been communicating with Joe very often, and even goes weeks without speaking at all. When they do speak, their discussions pretty much surround talking about their girls, updating Joe on their school, friends, normal family talk. They don’t talk about their relationship often because Teresa already knows what she wants to do and has made her mind up.’

Of course, she has no intention of following Joe in case he gets deported, so Teresa is determined to play both the mom and dad roles in the family since she is well aware Joe’s deportation will affect their daughters.
