Sedgwick, Kansas – Ty Brett Ramsey, 33, died Saturday, November 12, 2022 at his residence, Sedgwick.
He was born on March 3, 1989 at Newton, KS, to Billy D. Ramsey and Deana D. Eftink.
He was a lifelong Sedgwick resident and graduate of Sedgwick High School.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served 2 tours in Afghanistan.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
He worked as a mechanic for many years and recently was a research technician the National Institute for Aviation Research at Wichita State University.
He was very active coaching his children and Scouting as well as hunting and fishing when he could. He also loved to take care of his menagerie of critters at his home.
On March 29 2013, he married Brittney Michelle Lee at Kent County, WA, she survives at their home.
He is also survived by a son, Carson, and daughter Amelia, both of the home; father: Bill (Marilyn) Ramsey Wichita; mother: Deana (Justin) Beek, Sedgwick; grandparents: Mike and Jenny Ramsey, Sedgwick; Louis and Deborah Eftink, Sedgwick; half-sister Meagen (Chris) Locke, Rogers, AR; step-brothers: Justin (Amanda) Terreau, Olathe, KS; Noah Terreau, Wichita; and step-sister: Riley Terreau, Wichita.
Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 18 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead. The family will be present from 6:30- 8:00.
The Rosary will be said 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2022, followed by the Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead, with Father Max Blitz presiding.
