The late Walewska Moreira de Oliveira was best known as a Brazilian volleyball player in three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 2000. She won a bronze medal with the women’s national team in Sydney, Australia, and a gold medal in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Walewska also claimed the gold medal at the 1999 Pan American Games.

Walewska Oliveira won individual awards for serving, blocking, and spiking at the South American Championships and FIVB World Grand Prix, where her teams won in 2004, 2006, and 2008. She also won the World Grand Champions Cup with Brazil in 2013.
