The idea of adapting the Sentai series for American audiences arose in the late 1970s, following an agreement between Toei Company and Marvel Comics to exchange concepts for adaptation to their respective audiences. Narvy was raised in Los Angeles. He attended Lee Strasberg Theater Institute. He is best known for his role as Skull, one-half of the bullying rival duo on Fox Television’s children’s TV series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which he reprised on the franchise’s spin-offs, Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo, and Power Rangers in Space, before leaving the franchise to further his education.
