Alec Shane Benjamin is an American singer-songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona in the United States of America. Benjamin, 27, though born in Phoenix, he lived on Long Island, New York during kindergarten and first grade.

When Alec was young he was known to be a loner and did not prefer to make friends. However, as he grew up and started listening to artists such as Paul Simon, Eminem, and Dr. Dre, he began to take a keen interest in music.

He attended Desert Mountain High School and at the time he had already started practicing singing on his own. He taught himself how to play the guitar with his father’s giutar.

By the time he graduated high school, he had decided that he would pursue music as a career option. He, therefore, enrolled at the University of Southern California where he studied music.
