In January 2018, however, a comparable incident occurred. Dante Schmidt, a teacher at the Richardson Independent School District, was accused of having child pornography.

Investigators received information that he had been downloading and transmitting child pornography.

When confronted, he confirmed it and informed police where to find the computer he used to download the unlawful photographs, according to authorities.

According to the Richardson ISD, Dante Schmidt was a senior English teacher at Lake Highlands High School in 2018.

He was placed on administrative leave, and his parents received a letter.

Following his crime, Dante Schmidt, an English teacher at Richardson ISD’s Lake Highlands High School, was arrested.

As part of an investigation by the Collin County Sheriff’s Office and Plano Police, he was charged with having child pornography.

They didn’t think any Richardson ISD children were engaged, though.

Schmidt, who worked for Richardson ISD for three years, admitted to downloading and sharing the unlawful pictures with investigators.

Furthermore, according to the district spokesman, he was initially placed on paid leave pending the conclusion of the investigation. He later resigned.
