Lucia Roberta Tough Bronze is an English professional footballer who plays as a right-back. She was named BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year in 2018 and 2020.

During her second stint with City, she won the women’s FA Cup and women’s League Cup. She is due to join Barcelona from the 2022/23 season. Bronze also plays for the England national team.

Bronze’s mother is English. She was born on 28 October 1991 in Berwick-upon-Tweed in north-east England to a Portuguese father and an English mother. However, she was raised on Lindisfarne, in Belford, and in Alnwick.

She moved to North Carolina to study at the Duchess’s Community High School in UNC. Bronze subsequently moved to Leeds Metropolitan University.
