Lisa Brosoius Beamer, wife of Todd Beamer is an American writer. She is the widow of the hero Todd od United States Flight 93 crash in 2001 September 11 and known for her work and contributions after the incident.

She completed her studies at Wheaton College in 1991, who also gave the commencement address yesterday. Both the couple were graduates from the same college.

At the time when the flight that her husband boarded was under attack by the hijackers, she was pregnant with a five-month-old child. Her life before 9/11 is not explored much. However, after the incident, she has been in the limelight and is best known for her actions after her husband died.

She set up a foundation under her deceased husband’s name shortly after the incident took place. But she also became the victim of criticism when she decided to trademark the phrase ‘Let’s roll.’ Critics claimed that she is trying to earn a profit out of her husband’s death.

The phrase is said to be the last word her husband used when he and the other three Flight 93 heroes decided to attack the hijackers. According to Lisa, the telephone operator who Todd called, she heard him saying, Are you guys ready? Let’s roll.

She also wrote a book named Let’s roll!: Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage that talks about her and Todd’s life before 9/11 and her attempts to deal with grief after her partner’s demise.

The royalties from the book were donated to the organization she established to aid children who have suffered trauma. The foundation was later renamed Heroic Choices. In 2007, the board chairman stated that the foundation was having trouble obtaining donations since it becomes more difficult to raise funds as one goes farther away from the event.
