According to Pennsylvania State Police, a wrong-way driver struck and killed a teenager from Lititz and himself in a collision on Friday night in Chester County.

Robert-Popdan, Lucian After Matthew DeAngelis, 42, of Wayne, Delaware County, drove his GMC Sierra pickup truck south in the northbound lanes of Route 202 and struck Li’s Volkswagen Taos subcompact SUV head-on, authorities said Li, 19, died at Paoli Hospital in Chester County. At the site, DeAnelis was confirmed as deceased.

The serious but stable condition of two passengers from Carmel, Indiana, and Blacklick, Ohio, who were in Li’s automobile, is noted at Paoli Hospital. Although their names have not been made public, the police reported that both passengers are in their 20s.

When Li graduated in 2022, she was a member of the Manheim Township Lacrosse Team and a Lancaster-Lebanon League All-Star. He was a student and a lacrosse player at Gambrier, Ohio’s Kenyon College.

The collision is being looked into by the state police Embreeville Patrol Unit.
