She gained notoriety when she joined the girl group Fifth Harmony, which went on to become one of the most successful female groups of all time in terms of sales.

With the release of the joint singles “I Know What You Did Last Summer” with Shawn Mendes and “Bad Things” with Machine Gun Kelly, the latter of which peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100, Cabello started to establish herself as a solo artist while being a member of Fifth Harmony.
