Will Henry Ruggs ever play again?
Sarah Scott The Las Vegas Raiders selected Henry Ruggs with the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. In his draft class, Ruggs was one of the most promising wide receiver prospects, and he appeared headed for a protracted playing career.
On November 2, 2021, Ruggs was a party to a collision that claimed the lives of a 23-year-old lady and her dog. For the event, Henry Ruggs was charged with drunk driving causing death and reckless driving.
Ruggs was said to have been traveling at 156 mph just before the collision, and when the airbags detonated, the car slowed to 127 mph. On November 2, 2021, the Las Vegas Raiders released Ruggs.

Ruggs is charged with many felonies and is accused of having a blood alcohol level that is more than double the Nevada legal limit.
In addition, he faces a misdemeanor charge of gun possession after police allegedly found a loaded weapon in his wrecked vehicle. If found guilty, the charges against him involve a required two-year sentence, with a maximum sentence of 50 years.
It is quite improbable that Ruggs will ever set foot on an NFL field again, even if he is not found not guilty.
His reputation is in ruins, and no franchise would even contemplate hiring him due to the public outcry.
