Aya Furukawa is a 24-year-old Canadian actress. She was born in Vancouver, Canada on April 12, 1999, and was raised Bilingual, she is fluent in both English and Japanese. In her earlier years as a child, Aya worked on commercials, and print ads, and made her acting debut in The Cabin in the Woods (2011).

Aya Furukawa began acting at a young age where she signed with her former agency in 2018 and began to work towards acting. Her passion for the craft of acting led her to quickly book her first recurring role as Sachiko in The Terror (2018).

Her father Jason Furukawa is known as a third-generation Japanese Canadian born in Vancouver Canada and raised in Calgary Alberta. He is a dual category Director and First Assistant Director member of the Director’s Guild Of Canada and has been a member since 1989 as well as a UBCP/ACTRA Member since 2013. Jason was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Directing in 2014.
