Sophia Carter Anita Marie Brewer, 85, passed away from pneumonia at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson, MS, early on Thursday morning.
The visitation and memorial service will both start at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Fisher Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Ave, Vicksburg, MS. In memory of Anita Brewer, donations may be donated to Woodlawn Baptist Church.
The late W.A. and Dorothy Wood welcomed Anita into the world on May 27, 1938 in Bells, Tennessee. Her brothers Jerry, Joe, and Andy Wood, as well as her husband Johnny Brewer, predeceased her.

Johnny Brewer, a former Ole Miss and NFL football star, and Mrs. Brewer were wed for 46 years. She was a recording artist before getting married.
