Tessa Pettigrew, a loving wife to Nathan and mother to Tre, Josh, Mason, Anala, and Brielle, as well as four grandkids, passed away suddenly.

Tessa Pettigrew, the head teacher at Lake Highlands High School, passed away on March 31, 2023, due to what the institution described as a medical incident. The entire LHHS school community will miss her dearly and remember her with much affection.

Pettigrew started working as a teacher in the Richardson ISD in 2008. She began her position at Lake Highlands as an assistant principal in 2021. Pettigrew had a great sense of humor.

She was constantly joyful and vibrant. Because She was good for them, kids liked her. She participated in all of the enjoyable events that took place at Lake Highlands High School. She was in charge of making it happen. Pettigrew was just an extremely entertaining person who many people assumed everyone admired.

Tessa cherished her friends, her family, and the students she taught. She is seen by many as a brilliant example of virtue and a ray of sunshine. She was content to devote her entire life to assisting people and children.

Tessa had a daily impact on many students and teachers while serving as an assistant principal at a high school, and her effect was noticed both on campus and in the neighborhood.

Tessa was a superb instructor who shown kindness, decorum, and competence. She was cherished by the LHHS Wildcat community.

The Lake Highlands boys’ soccer team is attempting to win its first state title and give the institution its second state championship this year. Tre Johnson, a five-star recruit, guided the boys’ basketball team to the Class 6A championship last month.

Senior defender Charlie Willmann claimed that Pettigrew frequently attended sporting events for Lake Highlands and had attended numerous playoff games. The group now aspires to win the championship in her honor.
