Ivan Perisic was born on February 2, 1989, in Split, SR Croatia,SFR Yugoslavia, Croatia. He is was born into a family of four, his parents, Ante and Tihana perisic and his sister Anita Perisic. He began his youth career at Hajduk Split before moving to Sochaux where he step into the spotlight. He was later signed by Club Brugge, a club he began his senior career. He scored 31 goals in 70 appearances for the club. His performance at the club attracted a lot of clubs including Borussia Dortmund who later signed him in 2011 having had a successful spell at club Brugge where he won the Belgian Pro league top scorer award as well the Belgian footballer of the year award.

Ivan Perisic won the Bundesliga title with Dortmund before moving to Vfl Wolfsburg in 2013. Having spent two years with the German side, Perisic was sold to Inter Milan in 2015.
