Kelsi Taylor is an American singer and actress who became famous after her relationship with comedian Dane Cook became public. The California-born girl proved her acting and singing talents at quite a young age. She embarked on an acting career when she was just fifteen. Kelsi Taylor has already made a name for herself as an actress and singer at a very young age. Born in California, the heartland of the entertainment industry, Kelsi knew that she wanted to enter Hollywood quite early in her life. As a young actress, she appeared in many TV series and films. She made her on-screen debut in 2013, in the TV series ‘The Funny Bunch’ and was later seen in the movie ‘Can’. She later appeared in short films like ‘My Name is Asia’, ‘Alchemy’, Josephine’, and ‘Totally’. In the same year, she made her second TV appearance in the comedy series ‘Up in Arms’. A year later, she managed to work in two short films: ‘Beach Seasons’ and ‘The Overlooked’. Since her acting career didn’t take off, Kelsi decided to focus on honing her singing talent.

Before making a name for herself as a professional musician, Kelsi launched a self-titled YouTube channel. Here, she started posting covers of popular songs, such as ‘Almost Lover’ and ‘Youth’. Despite her obvious talent, her YouTube channel didn’t grow popular. In 2017, she was noticed as a backup singer for the popstar Demi Lovato.

During the Jingle Ball in Sunrise, Florida, Kelsi performed alongside Lovato. She was also seen performing the track ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ in November 2017, at the American Music Awards. These initial performances helped her understand the music industry better and draw inspiration for eventually creating her own music. Subsequently, Kelsi released covers of many other songs to expand her portfolio, including Daughter’s ‘Youth’ and Norah Jones’s ‘Don’t Know Why’. Soon enough, Kelsi announced on her Instagram page that she was working on her original music.

In August 2018, Kelsi released her first EP titled ‘Fear of Yourself’ under her own label. The album contained four songs that were released on YouTube and SoundCloud. One of the songs has been made into a music video, which was produced and directed by her boyfriend Dane Cook. Apart from this, Kelsi is also an active musician who has performed at many venues across the country. Now, she has over 44.8k followers on Instagram and her posts receive thousands of likes, making her a celebrity in her own right. In future, she hopes to release a full album under a major record label and make music throughout her life.
