Phillip Schofield is an English television and radio host.

Phillip Bryan Schofield was born in Oldham, Lancashire, on April 1, 1962.

He attended Trenance Infant School before transferring to Newquay Tretherras School. Phillip made his radio debut at the age of 15 with a Sunday show on a hospital radio station in Plymouth, England.

Phillip was 17 when the BBC finally answered to the letters he had been writing to them for a long time. He began his career at BBC Radio in London’s Broadcasting House as a clerk and tea boy.

Two years later, when he made his professional debut, he moved to New Zealand with his family.

Phillip was 22 at the time his father, Brian Schofield, suffered a heart attack. Brian sadly passed away in 2008, aged 72.

Pat Schofield however still lives in Cornwall. She periodically visits his son.

He has a brother by the name of Tim Schofield. Tim scared his family when he had life-saving medical therapy in 2015 after suffering from cardiac difficulties.

Phillip took a break from hosting This Morning while Tim recovered and upon his return, the father-of-two paid homage to the NHS staff that saved his brother’s life.
