Sophia Carter Ryan McGee works as a senior writer for ESPN The Magazine and has previously worked as a television producer for ESPN, Fox Sports Net, and NASCAR Media Group. He covers a wide range of American sports, but his work in racing, especially NASCAR, is his most well-known. He was a writer at FoxSports.com before joining ESPN The Magazine. He was also the editor-in-chief of NASCAR Media Group and authored the screenplay for the Paul Newman-narrated documentary “Dale.” In 2006, he released ESPN Ultimate NASCAR: 100 Defining Moments in Stock Car Racing History, and in May 2009, he published The Road To Omaha: Hits, Hopes, and History at the College World Series. The paperback edition will be released in May 2010. McGee also contributes to ESPN2’s night studio programme NASCAR Now as an analyst and contributor. McGee is one of the founding fathers of the 406, a devoted Redneck Rodeo fan base (The Marty & McGee Show)
