The parents of Travis Kelce are Ed and Donna Kelce. The place where Ed and Donna first met and later wed was Cleveland Heights High School in Cleveland, Ohio. In Cleveland Heights, Ed was a star football player, and Donna was a cheerleader.
Ed continued his football career by enrolling in college at the University of Cincinnati, where he started as a defensive lineman for three years and was named All-American in 1982.
After graduating from college, Ed played professionally for the USFL’s Pittsburgh Maulers for two seasons before moving back to Cincinnati to pursue a business career.
Donna received a degree in teaching from Ohio State University before going on to complete a master’s programme at Xavier University.
She has nearly 30 years of experience as an elementary school teacher, and she is presently a fourth-grade teacher at St. Gabriel Consolidated School in Cincinnati.
Travis attributes his success both on and off the field to his parents’ instillation in him of solid morals and a strong work ethic.
He has stated that his parents instilled in him the value of never giving up on his aspirations, no matter how challenging life may seem. He lives by this value to this day.
