Even though her pals, NeNe Leakes and Tamar Braxton were no shows, it looks like Wendy Williams had a great Labor Day weekend in Miami anyway! In fact, the talk show host turned the trip into quality time with family instead and it may be exactly what she needed the most.

Wendy did not let the sudden change of plans ruin her fun.

She was supposed to spend the weekend with NeNe and Tamar in Miami but the other two women did not show up in the end because of Hurricane Dorian.

Williams learned about it after she’d already landed in Miami, even though the natural disaster was yet to reach Florida at the time.

Understandably enough, Tamar was too scared to be out and about when the category 5 storm would manifest itself.

As for NeNe, her flight actually got canceled because of the weather.

But one insider report claims Wendy thought the whole thing ‘turned out to be a blessing in disguise.’

The source explained to HollywoodLife that ‘Although Wendy was initially disappointed NeNe and Tamar had to cancel their plans due to weather conditions, she’s actually grateful because she got to spend some real, quality time with her own family. She has been so busy lately that she hasn’t had much time to just relax and hang out with those who know her the best.’

Wendy took to social media to reveal this as well, in addition to jokingly teasing her friends for ‘standing her up.’

She told fans that, instead of a girls only outing filled with partying, she ended up visiting her son, but also other relatives such as her parents, nephew, niece and brother in law.
