Gandini Rajapaksa Ranawaka, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s younger sister, died earlier half a decade ago while being treated at a private hospital. Gandini was the youngest of nine Rajapaksa children.

She died at age 58 and her funeral and memorial services were held at the Udahamulla burial ground. Yet to date, nothing has been said about exactly what killed her.
