The brothers were inspired to initiate an online fashion company when Rami successfully marketed a limited edition pair of Diesel jeans online.

The founders of SSENSE were awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award by Ernst & Young in 2014. Later, Rami was named Honorary Chair of the 2017 Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards in 2017. 

Likewise, Atallah was also anointed to The Business of Fashion BoF 500 from 2014 to 2017 consecutively for 4 years.
