The hit anime series Haikyu!! has kept audiences hooked since 2014. It’s based on creator Haruichi Furudate’s very popular manga comics of the same name, which debuted in 2012.

Fans around the world immediately fell in love with Shoyo Hinata, a junior high school student who developed an obsession with volleyball after watching the Nationals on TV. Unfortunately, he is shorter than the average basketball player, so he finds inspiration in another player nicknamed “The Little Giant.” Things get even worse when he tries to play volleyball at his school and learns that he’s the only member of the team.

His new mission is to try convincing his classmates to join. After successfully convincing some of his friends, they enter a tournament and develop a rivalry with the first team they play against. Hinata decides to attend Karasuno to continue high school, which is also the same school that his rival, Tobio Kageyama, has decided to attend. Both players push each other to bring glory to their school in their performances. Fans are so eager to see what would happen in season 5 that it would be a must-see.

Will Haikyu!! get a season 5?

An alternative option if there’s no Haikyu!! Season 5

For fans of the Haikyu!! universe, there are two new theatrical films on the horizon. The films, drawing strongly from the Haikyu!! manga version, are said to cover 112 chapters of Furudate’s written material. This two-part endeavor is also thought to be what will be the conclusion of the Haikyu!! series, set to culminate throughout 2024.

With this in mind, perhaps there won’t indeed be a long-awaited fifth season for fans of the volleyball saga to enjoy.
